Jessica Rotich, one of the best Planet of the Apes figure sculptors and costume makers out there, has asked me to let fans know about the amazing work of a fellow fan, who has created the astonishingly lifelike head sculpts of the TV series' Peter Burke that you see lining this announcement. Since I'm in awe of both Jess and her work, I'm happy to oblige. Jess says:

Alex Lopez is selling unpainted casts of this headsculpt for $35, plus $5 for shipping and handling from Mexico, for a total of $40. Alex can also paint it realistically for you if you prefer, but you would have to ask him for a quote. You may send funds to him via PayPal, to this e-mail address: iconfigs@yahoo.com.mx.

This 1:6 headsculpt can customize any 12-inch-tall figure, so that Apes fans can finally have an action figure of Burke. The unpainted resin cast measures about 2 inches tall. The neck of the sculpt can be drilled to accomodate the neck plug of most figures. Some are easier to install than others, but there are plenty of forums that can show you how to install the headsculpt on whatever 12-inch tall action figure you want to customize.
